Amanda is an excellent speaker. I had to follow her once in SPCOM 101, and it was not a pleasant experience--kind of like the Tiny Toon Adventures episode where Babs Bunny has to go on after the Robin Williams-like character. Just a wee intimidating. She was also one of the five or so people who saw fit to kick my ass that semester when I started missing class profusely, a fact for which I am very appreciative. (Then, of course, I came back to SPCOM and that day she gave a speech about sexual assault, one of my all-time least-favorite topics. Stay home, be lethargic. Go to class, be nauseated.) Then Amanda became a victim of the University, and so she's not here for FA96, which means I won't get to find out if she is as good a writer as she is a speaker--she was to have been in my ENGL_ 103 class as well. I'm getting really tired of people getting tossed from this place. I also still can't quite figure out why I'm still here. (See my files on Dave and Angela for more on that topic.)
