Brett Schmidt once (and once is all it took) threatened to report me to CCSO if I ever sent him another piece of e-mail. For obvious reasons, I have steered completely clear of him for the twenty-three months or more since he issued that threat. Brett was, I believe, one of Ryan Hughes's deputy SAFE gurus at NNHS, and he was also a major player (the tallest one, in fact) in the Vijay-in-the-trunk incident. He and Breen blocked the back seat quite well as I drove to Downers Grove. Now Brett is the RA on Blaisdell 2. Wow, am I glad I got out of the res halls; even though I was on Blais 1, I knew people up there and found myself there on occasion (they had a microwave). I wouldn't want to bump into Brett on even terms, let alone in an RA-resident context. May Daniel Ostick (or, rather, his replacement, Andrea) take pity on the poor souls on Blais 2. (At least he finally got a couple links on his page.)
