I have known Curtis longer than I have known any person to whom I am not related. Like me, his school colors have been continuously orange and blue since 1980, as we have both made the progression from Seahorse to Huskie to Illini. Curtis was on Student Government at NNHS. At ACS he was also in Student Council, but he failed in 7th grade to win an office largely owing to the fact that he was on "America's Most Wanted". He was taping an appearance in a reenactment the day of the election speeches, and so we saw a videotaped speech. Unfortunately it made a lot of us wonder if he would be there for us if we elected him to Council office, so we didn't. It was too bad, really, because he was good on NNSG and is a good guy in general, even if he did only carry the measly Cranberry Pole. (Of course, I can only say that because I was on (or, rather, under) the mighty Grape Pole. Besides, Curtis didn't use a pad.)
