As you can tell from the title of this file, roommate.html, this is my roommate. I clarified that at a party he threw for his birthday in September 1996: "I give you my roommate, who will always be my roommate irrespective of where we each may actually live." We did live together in 112 Blaisdell for two years, and, to quote someone taking about something completely different, "it has been interesting to say the least." I have never met anyone else quite like my roommate, and I don't think I ever will. I have learned a lot from Ben, and I think I am a better person for having known him. I'm definitely less timid and more outgoing (for those of you who know me, think about it; you'll see I'm right), and I've had a lot of fun because of Ben. (He has also been the cause of more lost sleep by me than any other person I have ever met.) I can't possibly say everything about Ben here in this little file, but suffice it to say that while I know not all college roommates become friends, we are two that have, and I thank the University Housing Division (if for nothing else) for sticking this guy in my room.
